Terms & Conditions — The Spirit of the Blue Deer

Effective Date: February 19 2026
Website: Spiritofthebluedeer.com

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of this website (the “Site”) operated by The Spirit of the Blue Deer (“we,” “us,” “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1) Adults Only (18+)

This Site, our newsletter, and our retreat offerings are intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site, subscribe, or inquire about retreats. By using the Site, you confirm that you are 18+.

2) What We Provide

The Site provides information about retreats, experiences, educational content, and ways to contact us or subscribe to updates. Any retreat details shown on the Site may change, including pricing, dates, availability, inclusions, and locations.

Content on this Site is for informational purposes only and is not medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice. Always seek qualified professional guidance for medical or mental health concerns. Participation in any retreat is voluntary and at your own discretion.

4) Retreat Inquiries and Bookings

Submitting a contact form or inquiry does not guarantee a reservation. A retreat booking is only confirmed when you receive written confirmation from us (and, if applicable, when required deposits or payments are received).

If you accept a retreat spot, you agree to follow any additional rules, waivers, safety instructions, or participant requirements we provide before or during the retreat.

5) Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations (Edit to match your policy)

If we accept payments for retreats, the following may apply unless we state otherwise in writing:

Deposits

Deposits may be non-refundable and used to secure your reservation.

Cancellations by you

Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation window stated at the time of booking.

Cancellations or changes by us

We may cancel or reschedule a retreat due to weather, safety concerns, low enrollment, venue changes, or circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel, we will explain the options available (such as reschedule or refund of amounts paid to us, where applicable).

Important: Any third-party costs you book (flights, hotels, transport, insurance) are your responsibility.

6) Assumption of Risk and Personal Responsibility

Retreat activities may involve travel, outdoor activity, physical exertion, remote settings, and other inherent risks. By participating (or by traveling in connection with a retreat), you accept responsibility for your health, decisions, and actions.

We strongly recommend you obtain travel insurance and ensure you are physically and mentally fit for the retreat you choose.

7) Code of Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for unlawful purposes

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or discriminate against others

  • Attempt to hack, scrape, or disrupt the Site or its systems

  • Upload or transmit malicious code

  • Misrepresent your identity or age

We may restrict or terminate access to the Site if we believe you violate these Terms.

8) Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—including text, images, videos, logos, branding, and designs—is owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

9) User Submissions (Contact Forms / Messages)

If you submit messages, testimonials, or other content to us:

  • You represent that the information is accurate and you have the right to provide it.

  • You grant us permission to use your submission to respond and provide services.

  • If you provide a testimonial or feedback, we may request permission before publishing it publicly (unless you clearly consent in writing).

10) Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you agree we may send you marketing and informational emails. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or policies.

12) Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee the Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information will always be current.

13) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or participation in retreats. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the applicable service (if any) during the [3/6/12] months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Spirit of the Blue Deer from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Site, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another person.

15) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new Effective Date. Continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
